Star Wars Day

May 04th 2017

May the Fourth Be With You!

It's that day of the year when we embrace our inner Nerf Herder and pay homage to the greatest space opera ever brought to the big screen!

Star Wars Day is an unofficial holiday in May created by fans to honour the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. Observance of the holiday spread quickly due to Internet, social media, and grassroots celebrations. May 4 is considered a holiday by Star Wars fans to celebrate the franchise's films series, books, and culture. The date was chosen for the easy pun on the phrase "May the Force be with you" — "May the fourth be with you".

The world of Star Wars is back in the spotlight again following the sucess of The Force Awakens and new spin off, Rogue One - and with Episode VIII on the horizon it looks like Star Wars will be as popular as it has ever been for many years to come.
